CURRENTLY AVAILABLE CLASSES
At this time, we have the Learn to Knit, Children’s Learn to Knit, and Knitting with Beads classes scheduled. One on One Classes are always available at the discretion and availability of the instructors. And our groups meet weekly. If there is a particular class you are interested in, please let us know.
Sunday Knitting, Thursday Knitters, and Tuesday Night Knitters is open to anyone to drop in and gab with other knitters. And it’s not just for Knitters! Bring crochet, weaving, really any fiber arts! We love to see what you are making!
Spin In! happens every fourth Saturday of the month. Bring your wheel or spindle, and share your love of spinning! Or just come if you want to know more about spinning.

Rigid Heddle Weaving Classes are taught on an individual basis with Jean or Nancy. Contact them either through our contact page or by phone to set up a class or for more information.

BEGINNING GROUP CLASSES
Harvest Sweater Class Are you ready to knit a sweater? Join us in class! We will be knitting the Harvest Cardigan by Tin Can Knits. Harvest is a seamless, top down cardigan knitted in a worsted weight yarn. This class would be suitable for advanced beginner knitters who are comfortable with the knit and purl stitches, casting on and binding off, increases and decreases. This is a 12-hour class done over 6 weeks. Class and Pattern for $55 with a 10% discount on yarn and supplies bought at the Weaving Dept. Contact the shop to sign up, or pay online with PayPal. Learn to Knit Class Learn a post apocalypse skill! In this introductory class learn to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. The instruction will be in two parts. 1. You will make a test swatch where you will learn the basics of knitting, and 2. you will plan and start a simple project. Great beginning project ideas include, but aren’t limited to, a scarf or cowl. If you have a project goal, bring in the pattern and Veronica will help you learn the knitting skills to confidently make your project. Yarn and needles will be provided for the sample swatch. Your individual project may differ in yarn and needle size than your test swatch. Instruction and swatch supplies: $34. You will receive 10% Off in store for any additional supplies. Scheduled dates are either Wednesday, February 27, 11 am to 2 pm or Saturday, March 9, 11 am to 2 pm. NOTE: you may bring a snack and a drink. One 3 hour session plus one 1 hour follow up session to be set by you and the instructor during your 3 hour session. Children’s Learn to Knit Class is the same as the Learn to Knit Class, but geared toward the 9+ crowd! Sign up for our Saturday, March 2, 11 am to 2 pm class and learn a new craft! Woven Wall Art is a group class where you will learn the basics of weaving on a frame loom (sometimes called a peg loom) while making a 10 x 12 inch woven wall hanging. Class cost is $30 plus $18 in supplies. Looms will be available to borrow, or take one home at a 10% discount!
GROUP TECHNIQUE CLASSES
Knitting with Beads Class featuring the Pioneer Cuff by Laura Nelkin. Ever wanted to learn to add beads to your knitting? Here’s a class for you! You will learn how to use the pre-strung bead and the placed bead method as you knit a simple lace cuff. Knowledge of basic knit, purl, increases and decreases are a must. Pattern that will be used does have both written and charted instructions to make it easy to understand per your preference. Class Fee: $36 includes Pioneer Cuff Kit. Size 2 needles required. Not included in class fee. Saturday, March 9, 3 pm -6 pm. Call the Shop to Sign Up or Pay online through PayPal.
Beginning Double Knitting is a group class with Jeff. This is a 2 week course and includes a pattern
for a tea set of coasters, a hot pad/trivet, and a tea cozy. We will make a coaster for the class and
then you will use what learn to make the rest. You will need two skeins of DK weight yarn
(preferably washable) in contrasting colors and US size 5 needles. Contact the shop to reserve your
spot and for more information. $30
Toe-Up Afterthought Heel Socks Class is a group class taught by Casey. Learn to make a toddler sock from the toe-up with an Afterthought Heel. This will give you the basics to make socks of any size. Basic knowledge of Knit stitch, Purl stitch, Increases, and Decreases required. Yarn, Needles, Pattern, and Instruction $48. Contact the shop for more information.
Two-at-a-Time Socks Class is an advanced group technique class to learn how to make two socks at once, on one set of needles, ONE INSIDE THE OTHER. There will be pre-class work to complete before the class begins. You must have made socks before and understand sock construction. Understanding of or experience with knitting with both hands and/or Double-Knitting would be helpful but is not required. We will make one small pair of socks using the top-down method to get the principles and technique down. Bring two balls of Plymouth Yarn Dream Baby DK of distinctly different colors, and your preferred needles for working in the round, size 4 or 5. The recommendation is a set of 5 DPNs. Also bring one small crochet hook (for "just in case"). Two 2 hour sessions; $42. Contact the shop for more information and for the pre-class work to complete.
Beginning 2-Handed Fair Isle Class is a group class taught by Casey. A Class for those that want to expand their knitting technique. Learn to Knit 2-handed stranded colorwork while making a toddler hat. This is an 4-hour Class done over 2 weeks. Pattern and Instruction for $40. Homework and fluid knitting skills are needed for this class. Contact the shop to sign up today!
Baby Surprise Jacket is a group class with Ginny. Got someone expecting? Or want to learn a new technique? This class is for you! This is a 4 week course. The class includes the updated BSJ pattern and two balls of Plymouth Yarn’s Dreambaby or Dreambaby Paintpot in your choice of color. You will also need a 24-inch-long circular needle in US size 6, 2 locking stitch markers (the ones that look like little safety pins), and two medium stitch holders. There is some homework that will need to be completed before the first session. Contact the shop to reserve your spot, your homework assignment, and for more information. $60
Beginning Cables is a class taught by Jeff. In this Beginner Cable technique class, we'll cover all the basic terminology, tools, and techniques for making cables in any knitted work. You'll also learn how to read cable pattern instructions and charts. We'll create a small "sampler" work using different cable styles that you can continue with to make a scarf, or make several as blanket squares, or just use it as a learning exercise to prepare yourself for those fancy patterns you've been putting off. There will be examples of different cable work, patterns, and tools for reference, comparison, and inspiration. Contact the shop for more information. $35
