CURRENTLY AVAILABLE CLASSES
At this time, we have the Children’s Learn to Knit class is scheduled. One on One Classes are always available at the discretion and availability of the instructors. And our groups meet weekly. If there is a particular class you are interested in, please let us know.
Sunday Knit/Crochet, Thursday Knit/Crochet, and Tuesday Night Knit/Crochet is open to anyone to drop in and gab with other yarn lovers. And it’s not just for Knitters! Bring crochet, weaving, really any fiber arts! We love to see what you are making!
Spin In! happens every fourth Saturday of the month. Bring your wheel or spindle, and share your love of spinning! Or just come if you want to know more about spinning.

BEGINNING GROUP CLASSES
Learn to Knit Class Learn a post apocalypse skill! In this introductory class learn to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. The instruction will be in two parts. 1. You will make a test swatch where you will learn the basics of knitting, and 2. you will plan and start a simple project. Great beginning project ideas include, but aren’t limited to, a scarf or cowl. If you have a project goal, bring in the pattern and Casey will help you learn the knitting skills to confidently make your project. Yarn and needles will be provided for the sample swatch. Your individual project may differ in yarn and needle size than your test swatch. Instruction and swatch supplies: $34. You will receive 10% Off in store for any additional supplies. NOTE: you may bring a snack and a drink. One 2 1/2 hour session.
OOPS! Class is geared to help the Beginner and Intermediate Knitter learn simple fixes for their knitting. Examples are: Tinking (Unknitting), Ripping Out Rows with confidence, Laddering Down to Fix Stitches, Fixing Twisted Stitches, etc. You will need to bring a worsted weight swatch still on the needles to class to have a piece to practice on. Suggested: Cast On 30 stitches, work 10 rows in garter stitch, then 10 rows in stockinette stitch.
Children’s Learn to Knit Class is geared toward the 9+ crowd! Sign up for our class on Saturday, July 13, 10:30 am to Noon, and learn a new craft! Please arrive 15 minutes early to pick out yarn color and get settled. Instruction, needles, and ball of yarn: $34. You will receive 10% Off in store for any additional supplies. Woven Wall Art is a group class where you will learn the basics of weaving on a frame loom (sometimes called a peg loom) while making a 10 x 12 inch woven wall hanging. $48 for instruction and supplies (loom not included). Looms will be available to borrow, or take one home at a 10% discount! 2 - 2 hour class days
GROUP TECHNIQUE CLASSES
Christmas in July Fair Isle Stocking Class features the Whole Lotta Snow stocking pattern. In this class, you’ll learn the basics of two-handed Fair Isle/Stranded knitting, the Latvian Plait/Braid, and Duplicate Stitch. All while learning the basic construction of a top-down sock with a heel flap/gusset heel and a rounded toe while knitting a Christmas stocking. Fluid Knitting skills and knitting in the round are required. $60 with pattern provided. Class supplies are an additional cost. 10% Off supplies in store.
Beginning Double Knitting is a group class with Jeff. This is a 2 week course and includes a pattern
for a tea set of coasters, a hot pad/trivet, and a tea cozy. We will make a coaster for the class and
then you will use what you learn to make the rest. You will need two skeins of DK weight yarn
(preferably washable) in contrasting colors and US size 5 needles.
Toe-Up Afterthought Heel Socks Class is a group class taught by Casey. Learn to make a toddler sock from the toe-up with an Afterthought Heel. This will give you the basics to make socks of any size. Basic knowledge of Knit stitch, Purl stitch, Increases, and Decreases required. Yarn, Needles, Pattern, and Instruction $48. Contact the shop for more information.
Two-at-a-Time Socks Class is an advanced group technique class to learn how to make two socks at once, on one set of needles, ONE INSIDE THE OTHER. There will be pre-class work to complete before the class begins. You must have made socks before and understand sock construction. Understanding of or experience with knitting with both hands and/or Double-Knitting would be helpful but is not required. We will make one small pair of socks using the top-down method to get the principles and technique down. Bring two balls of Plymouth Yarn Dream Baby DK of distinctly different colors, and your preferred needles for working in the round, size 4 or 5. The recommendation is a set of 5 DPNs. Also bring one small crochet hook (for "just in case"). Two 2 hour sessions; $42. Contact the shop for more information and for the pre-class work to complete.
Beginning 2-Handed Fair Isle Class is a group class taught by Casey. A Class for those that want to expand their knitting technique. Learn to Knit 2-handed stranded colorwork while making a toddler hat. This is an 4-hour Class done over 2 weeks. Pattern and Instruction for $40. Homework and fluid knitting skills are needed for this class. Contact the shop to sign up today!
Beginning Cables is a class taught by Jeff. In this Beginner Cable technique class, we'll cover all the basic terminology, tools, and techniques for making cables in any knitted work. You'll also learn how to read cable pattern instructions and charts. We'll create a small "sampler" work using different cable styles that you can continue with to make a scarf, or make several as blanket squares, or just use it as a learning exercise to prepare yourself for those fancy patterns you've been putting off. There will be examples of different cable work, patterns, and tools for reference, comparison, and inspiration. Contact the shop for more information. $35
